THE 3 PHASES OF AN INVESTORS JOURNEY
Wealth Accumulation
Typically, the younger Investor is in the market for a Property that will increase in value and provide an uplift opportunity, this allows the Investor the option to either sell or reborrow to access equity for the next purchase. Very quickly Investors learn that Banks will restrict the ability to grow large portfolios under this model.
holding phase
Once an Investor has acquired the assets they want in their portfolio they tend to sit on them, waiting for the right time to sell, upgrade, or renovate. A lot of Investors may come unstuck quickly by holding onto assets that are not performing the way they should, but you should not be afraid of a course correction.
Consolidation
At this stage of Investing, we tend to see Investors retarget their expectations away from Capital Growth to more Yield heavy investments, it is after all the income that we need replace in retirement. This may require some advanced planning to know what to sell, and when. The goal is to setup your income for years to come.
